Fans eagerly awaiting the launch of the new Modern Warfare 2 map pack will probably be disappointed to learn of its cost.
Robert Bowling, Community Manager for Infinity Ward appeared on this week’s Major Nelson podcast and revealed new information on the ‘Stimulus Package’ download content.
The pack out on 30th March will feature five maps, two from Call of Duty 4 and three new ones and will cost 1200 MS Points (£10.28 in old money).
Three of the new maps on offer include:
- “Bailout,” a multi-level apartment complex,
- “Storm,” an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery,
- “Salvage,” a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars.
The two original maps making a triumphant comeback are ‘Crash’ and ‘Overgrown’; the former of which Bowling believes is the best map in the franchise.
With the company coming under criticism for the high RRP price tag of £54.99, we’re not sure spending another £10 on maps is justifiable. We’re sure we aren’t the only ones, so get airing your views below.
