Microsoft to ‘further monetize’ Xbox Live

Microsoft is “to further monetize” Xbox Live, it has been revealed.

According to a description on group product planner Praveen Rutnam’s Linkedin profile, a “developed strategy to further monetize Xbox LIVE subscriber base that will be implemented for holiday 2012.

While it is unknown what this “strategy” will be, current speculation suggests it could be a move away from Microsoft Points (similarly to what the PlayStation Network currently supports), a new Platinum service or even just an Avatar outfit. It could be anything.

Expect more information at E3 in June. In the meantime, what do you want it to be? Leave us a comment with your thoughts.
