Metal Gear Solid 4 has been given a confirmed release date today by Konami, as well as a few more details. Thursday 12th June is the official UK and US release date and Konami have also confirmed “the game will be released on a Blu-Ray disc containing both Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Kojima Productions’ Metal Gear Online – a dedicated online title that uses locations and gameplay elements from Guns of the Patriots.”
Konami also said “a public beta version of Metal Gear Online” will be released “before the release of Metal Gear Solid 4. Full details of the public beta program will be announced shortly.”
No details of pricing or special editions were announced. So mark your diaries, tell your boss you’re going to be sick that day or pre-order Metal Gear Solid 4 to guarantee your copy on the 12th June.
