Half Life 2 Slips to Summer 07

Valve have today announced that Half Life 2 will miss it’s Q1 2007 release target and the developer are “now targeting summer 2007″. The Xbox 360 version will come as a five-pack, including the original Half Life 2, the first two “episodes” Half Life 2: Episode One and Half Life 2: Episode Two. The pack will also include the interesting new puzzle game Portal and the sequel to the classic Team Fortress with a new cel-shaded look, Team Fortress 2.

The game was originally due to ship late this year but slipped Q1 2007. Valve haven’t given a reason for this latest slip, though it’s presumed to allow extra development time. It puts into doubt Valve’s chance of having all three Half Life 2 episodes out by Christmas 2007.
