The Walking Dead series has been a huge success for Telltale games as they have continued to release individual episodes of the game over XBLA nearly every month since July. You can read our review of the first two episodes here.

However when the XBLA title was first released, there were rumours that a retail version would be put together. Today we have confirmation that the rumours are true and players will be able to pick up the full game, including all 5 downloadable episodes as a retail disc on 4th December.

Along with this news is the announcement of an exclusive GameStop collector’s edition, only available for those choosing to Pre0order the title. The Collectors edition will include:

  • The Walking Dead game
  • The Walking Dead Compendium one with exclusive cover art from series artist Charlie Adlard (collecting issue 1-48 of the comic series)
  • Exclusive box art from series artist Charlie Adlard
