Europeans are well known for their good taste in music, food, and the fine arts. But what about game development? EA seems to think they have an upper hand in that as well in a recent statement by EA Partner Nick Button-Brown.
“There’s more creativity in Europe than there is in America,” said Button-Brown to Gamesindustry.biz, backing up his statements by saying that US based developers are in it for the money and not as willing to take chances, hence less likely to innovate.
Depending on your country of residence, you’ll either be cheering for joy or getting ready for a fight. While it’s true that many of the best (or extremely hyped) games this year came from a non-US developer, I think this statement is stretching the truth a little bit. Call of Duty 4 anyone?
