EA: Need for Speed reboot ‘will require an online connection’

The Need for Speed reboot will require an online connection in order to play the game, EA has confirmed.

Posting from the game’s official Twitter account in reply to a fan, a tweet read: “NFS will require an online connection, but the benefits are nice. More variety and a more rewarding experience with friends.”

In another tweet, the account confirmed that the first gameplay trailer will be shown at E3 in June.

Need for Speed is expected to launch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.
