The first time gamers set eyes on Need for Speed: Carbon was at this years E3 when a six second clip was showcased to let the world know EA had started creating the new title. Since E3 EA have released nothing on the new title, until now.
Firstly the title ‘Carbon’ is in relation to Carbon Canyon, a place where racers meet up and show off their rides and of course race for pride, money and pink slips. The best part of the new game is that you will have to make up a crew or gang of drivers within the game. It also seems that you will be able to pick certain drivers from your crew for certain races, so in essence you will have one driver who is a speed freak, another who is decal junkie, another who can drift from here to Tokyo, you get the picture.
There will also be a total of 3 maps with seven territories within them and you must take control of the territories if you wish to win money, cars and kits for customizing those rides. Currently there is no official word on how many cars will be available, but it will be somewhere between 50-100 so you will be spoilt for choice.
There is no word on a release date, we are hoping it will be showcased at the Leipzig gaming event, but we’ll have to wait and see if it makes an appearance.
