Activision is offering early customers of Destiny and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare a bonus in-game item for Bungie’s online shooter.
The Blacksmith Armor Shader, a Level 20 Legendary Item, lets players dye their characters’ armor in matching shades of silver, brass, and gunmetal gray. It’s purely for Guardians who prefer to color coordinate and confers no statistical bonuses of its own.
The bonus item is available at GAME in the UK and at GameStop in North America. Players must purchase Destiny and pre-order Advanced Warfare at the retailer by September 15 at GAME or September 21 at GameStop to receive a code for the in-game item.
The cross-franchise promotion encourages shooter fans to patronize Destiny, Activision and Bungie’s newest major franchise, as well as Call of Duty, one of the publisher’s longest-running and most successful series.
