Battlefield 4 Spectator Mode is Explained

DICE has recently reported on a new feature coming to Battlefield 4 – Spectator Mode.

The developers hope that Spectator Mode will help BF4 becoming used more in the competitive e-sports arena, where this mode can be used to report (televise/shoutcast) the battle between squad clan matches. Capturing for YouTube videos is also an important area that the Spectator Mode will help with too.

Four views will be available whilst in Spectator Mode: First-Person, Third-Person, a view called Table Top (similar to the Commander Mode overhead map view) and Freecam View, which will give players any viewpoint they wish of the battle taking place.

It is certainly an interesting feature, with a clear sign of where the developers want it to be used the most. Whether virtual soldiers will opt for this feature on a regular basis will remain to be seen, however for certain gamers and squad leaders, this mode will become invaluable.
