Assassin’s Creed Rogue officially announced with first details

Assassin’s Creed Rogue has officially been announced and will be featured in the next issue of Game Informer magazine.

According to GI, Assassin’s Creed Rogue will be the final entry in the series for Xbox 360 and PS3, having debuted on the consoles (and PC) in 2007.

The game is said to return “to the series’ roots to reinvent” and will also “[fill in] a hole in its history and storyline”.

AC Rogue will cast players as a former Assassin-turned-Templar called Shay Patrick Cormac, who is now an assassin hunter. The game takes place during the Seven Years’ War, between the events of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed 3. It has been teased that the game will link back into the Kenway saga.
