Write for Console Monster!

Ever wanted to write for us? I’m sure you have. In fact, I know you have. We’re regularly getting emails from readers asking if there is any spaces in the team for new writers. Well, now there is!

Unless you are brand new to 360Monster, or you live under a rock (in which case, how are you reading this?!) then you will know that 360Monster will soon be merging into Console Monster, with the sister sites being 360Monster, WiiMonster and PS3Monster… No prizes for guessing which consoles they will be covering.

Before you start shouting “You’ve been saying the news sites are coming very soon for 6 months,” well…yes we have. But now they really ARE coming! In fact, they are now so close to launch that we’re looking for a heap load of writers to join the teams, and help cover the 3 next generation consoles. Turning one site into four sites is not an easy task, so we need as many talented writers as we can get our hands on. Here’s a run-down of what we’re after:

News Writers: Think you’re a knowledgable dude(ess) with a flair for picking out news stories relating to next-generation consoles and re-writing them in your own words? Well this is the position for you! We’re looking for excellent writers who can troll the internet day after day and find informative and interesting news stories and post them on the site.

News writers are needed for the following sites: 360Monster, PS3Monster, WiiMonster.

General Writers: Reviews, Previews and special articles. Thats the job of our general writers – and we need more! If you can play a game thoroughly, and then write a decent review on it, keeping your writing fun but informative, then sign up for this position. This is one you sign upto for free games! [Fired -Ed]

General Writers are needed for the following sites: 360Monster, PS3Monster, WiiMonster.

Editors: Ahh, the créme de la créme. These are the big boys, the ones that read through articles, rip it apart and make it presentable. Because of the nature of this position, we’re after someone who doesn’t care if he’s hated by half (or all) of the staff members, and has a very good eye for spotting mistakes and correcting them. Previous experience in this department is highly desired.

Editors will not be console specific, but will cover every aspect of the site, working alongside the Lead Editor, Russ (that’s me!).

Note that all the positions are currently voluntary (until we win the lottery), but you do receive man love review code occasionally. You also get the chance to visit publisher run events, such as the recent hands-on GRAW2 event from Ubisoft.

If you think you have what it takes, drop me an email (russclow@360monster.com) with the following information:
