About Console Monster
Console Monster is an independent gaming website that is dedicated to the 'core gamer. Predominantly based in the United Kingdom, our hardworking team of freelance volunteers provide our readers with regular console gaming news, features, reviews, previews, achievements, trophies and gaming media. We have a suite of mobiles Apps for Apple iOS and Google Android devices that allow our readers to access our content on the move.

What We Cover
We try our best to obtain the latest Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 titles from publishers and developers, but sometimes our calls do not get heard, this means we may miss a few reviews or when possible we review our own purchased copies of the game.

If you are a publisher that would like to have us on your review list, please get in touch via our contact form below.

Our Review Process
Our review process is simple. Our reviews are independent of previous titles in its series, or competing titles of the same genre. We clearly state which platform the game has been reviewed on. Our reviews are solo written and are individually scored by the writer set for the review. We score our reviews out of 100%, with 50% being an average score, 75% scores or higher are worthy of your attention and any games scoring over 90% are wholeheartedly worth buying.

Active Staff Members
Below is a brief overview of the members of staff here at Console Monster. Most of us Monsters reside in the United Kingdom, however we do have a few fellow cousins from across the pond on board also from time to time.

Anthony Barker
Chief Monster
Anthony is the designer, developer and owner of Console Monster. Anthony created this sleek design you are currently clicking around right now. In his spare time, Anthony is a keen gamer who enjoys playing First-Person Shooters and Racing games on either his Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. When he is not developing iPhone Apps or tweaking this site, Anthony likes to be on the slopes snowboarding or hurtling down off-road tracks on his mountain bike.
Barrie Rogers
Content Monster
Like many of the Staff on Console Monster, Barrie likes playing games. Spanning the aeons of time, he has played games on various formats and tends to play games because they are fun and not just because a certain company makes them. He enjoys a good shooter but tends to focus around Team-based and objective based gameplay. Also has a unhealthy obsession with Loot Collecting games. So, if you can make a Team and objective based loot-whoring game, he will play it. Also, has a thing about Zombies.
Craig Anderson
Content Monster
Craig is a 19 year old gamer from Scotland who has been gaming since he first layed eyes on the Nintendo SNES! Craig likes First-Person Shooters and Sports games on his Xbox 360 and in his spare time he scours the internet for all the latest news for you, the public, to view. When not in the "Gaming Zone" Craig enjoys playing amateur football, spending time with his girlfriend and going to the movies.
David Wriglesworth
Content Monster
David (a.k.a. Wriggy) is a student from Darlington (near Middlesbrough and Newcastle). His first console was a PlayStation (One) back in 1995 followed by the Xbox in 2002, the Xbox 360 in 2005 and the Nintendo Wii in 2007. His favourite games are FPS and Racing (especially the Burnout series) but he enjoys other genres as well. When he’s not typing away or gaming, you’ll find him with his vast majority of friends or “shopping”.
David Bevan
Content Monster
David has been a computer lover since a young age with fond memories of the NES which created a strong loyalty to Nintendo until Sony hit the market. Moving from Nintendo to a Playstation 1 and Playstation 2 the next generation of computers saw him move again to the XBbox 360, which he is often found playing when not working or following his other passion of comics. David has worked in the computer games industry for the last 5 years and hopes to continue this for a long time to come, because what computer game fan wouldn’t want to work in computer games.

Justin Ortiz-Burrow
Content Monster
Introduced to video games when he was only five, Justin has had a passion ever since. With some of his favorites ranging from games like Shenmue and Indigo Prophecy to Half-Life 2 and Manhunt, you could say he has a extremely varied taste in games. Justin also enjoys movies and music. He has a passion for vinyl records, and loves to collect video game memorabilia. Justin's three goals in life are to own a DeLorean, acquire a pet sloth, and to live life as similarly to Howard Hughes as possible.
Lee Matthews
Content Monster
Lee is an avid gamer, photographer, film buff and sports fan. A scaly brat since birth it only seemed right for him to join Her Majesties Armed Forces of which he has been a proud member ever since. Despite a long absence from gaming, during which he spent many a night reminiscing about the glory days on Halo 2, Matty is now back online smashing his way through Black Ops and soon enough Gears of War 3 and Battlefield 3.
Marty Greenwell
Edit Monster
Marty has been gaming since the heady years of the ZX-81 and still owns most of the gaming systems purchased since those days, including the Atari 2600, ZX Spectrum, SNES, Jaguar, Dreamcast and GameCube. Being a collection junkie (or more accurately, hoarder), he buys more games than he can possibly play, far too many of which are still sealed in their packaging. Marty favours RPGs and Driving games when it comes to genres, and is possibly a little bit too addicted to Disgaea. When not gaming he’s out frightening OAPs on his motorcycle, clad in black leather.
Matthew Spurr
Content Monster
Matthew is a young gamer from the USA. He's always been fascinated by video games, and gaming has devoured more of his life than even sleeping has. Matthew has always been dedicated to bringing only the finest content to the sites he writes for. He has always been good with computers, but his passions are still gaming and writing (as well as Batman). Matthew is always happy, as long as he has a fresh glass of cold lemonade beside him.
Reece Warrender
Edit Monster
Reece is an obsessed gaming fanatic that finds enjoyment from any console. He began to enjoy games from a very young age but the addiction did not consume him till the days of Zelda – Link to the Past. Currently he is himself trying hard to break into the gaming industry, as a young programmer whilst also forcing his opinions onto the gaming population.
Ricky Staines
Content Provider
Ricky is a passionate gamer, wordsmith and coffee addict from South East London. Born and raised on Nintendo, Ricky is impervious to the nauseating effects of cute and colourful characters. In his spare time, Ricky enjoys watching movies, playing on his guitar (both real and plastic) and reading. He also does a pretty awesome impression of Max Payne, but only when nobody is looking.
Steven Bourke
Content Monster
Steven is a student from Sunderland. His first console was a PlayStation back in 1995 followed by the Xbox in 2002 and the Xbox 360 in 2005. His favourite games are RPGs but he enjoys other genres as well. When he’s not typing away or gaming, you’ll find him spending most of his time studying.
Tim Leigh
Event Monster
Tim likes games. Tim likes games A LOT. It’s highly likely he’s played on most of the platforms that support games over his long years playing video games and is a sucker for new technology. He can often be found on his Xbox 360 playing the latest RPG or playing a wide range of multiplayer games with his buddies. While doing this however, he’ll often have a casual game of Peggle running on his PC and making sure his planes are doing the rounds in Pocket Planes on the iPad. When he’s actually not found playing games he’ll either be at the cinema watching the latest film releases or at the gym attempting to get fit - attempting being the important word there.
