Pinball FX is the first of its kind to hit the Xbox 360. Developed by Zen Studios, the game features everything you would expect in a Pinball game. Speed Machine, Extreme and Agents are the 3 vibrant tables to choose from, with each of them having different styles and themes to make each table ‘unique’. Simple controls make the game easy to pick up and play with the right-trigger being the right flipper and left-trigger being the left flipper, and for the hardcore gamer who likes a challenge, you can use the Xbox Vision Camera to use your hands as the flippers. This works well but you can become tired and a lot of the time you will lose your ball. Tables start out simple, but as you progress new challenges open up to allow you to play for longer periods of time.

Zen Studios have built the game up specifically for the Xbox Live Arcade so the graphics are quality to say the least. Each of the three tables has had a lot of work put into them and it has certainly paid off. With the standard view, you can also view the table at 5 various angles to aid you in your goal.

For that extra challenge you can head over to Xbox Live where you can battle up to 3 other players in ranked and unranked matches racing to 10, 25, 50, 75 or 100 million points. This is fun but the host can also set penalties for losing a ball in these modes like 5,10, 25, 50 or even 100% of your total score being lost when a ball is lost. Xbox Live also allows players to download more tables via content add-on packs.

To sum up, Pinball FX offers an unparalleled pinball experience for casual and hardcore gamers. Combined with traditional and exciting features the game provides hours of fun for a pinball lover. With the power of the Xbox 360 behind it, Pinball FX sets a whole new standard for realistic pinball physics and graphical detail in pinball video game and at 800MS points, it’s not to be sniffed at.
