343 Industries: There will not be a Halo 4 public multiplayer beta

There will be no public multiplayer beta for Halo 4, it has been revealed.

The news was revealed by 343 Industries on Halo Waypoint. The developer said that it would be focusing on "polishing and shipping our experience for the duration of the year.” Instead, they are “splitting resources to manage and build a beta is not on our schedule.”

Public multiplayer betas have been released to selected users for both Halo 3 and Halo: Reach. Halo 4 is released later this year.

I am A HUGE fan of the halo series but who cares about a beta when 343 can focus more on the development of the actual game and make sure there are no bugs in the game or else they would it and everybody would hate them.

I thought the idea behind a beta was too find all those bugs before release so tht when we do buy it the isn't broken. Your always gonna have some idiot complain about fire rate and stupid things but if it means nit getting stuck in the scenery I'm up for a beta, lets just hope the game isn't broken

Shame I always like to get an early taste of the gameplay with a beta I played the halo 3 beta non stop and it made my anticipation for halo 3 incomprehensible! Reach was less so cause I feel the armour abilities ruin the gameplay, hopefully they will be a lot finer balanced this time round.

I guess this is more of a good thing for the most part. It well let them focus ont the important stuff and not the small stuff. I mean, look at Reach.

I am really looking forward to HALO: 4 but I wish it could come out a lot sooner. I have Combat Evolved anavarsary, and that's all I play on my Xbox. The only thing I dislike on it is how there are only like six maps. More please! 
