Yer I think some of these people where properly stupid enough to download BS programmes on there laptops that supposedly can generate coins and got the arse keylogged... Serve them right really. My tip is if you have credit card details stored on your xbox then remove them until you need to use it and remove them once your done using.. It's not rocket science.

Just got hacked. 85 pounds off my cards. Sounds like same scam. Seem hacked by a Canadian email address. Stopped cards, Paypal and rescued my gamertag before they spent up. Reporting to Microsoft in morning.

Spoke to Microsoft this morning who have traced the email used to a Chinese account. They have destroyed my ultimate team which I had spent time and money. Now Microsoft have to suspend my live account whilst they investigate this Chinese thief. Considering not renewing live if victims are not helped. Also should get my 85 pound back after they have looked at it. Everyone be careful of keeping Paypal on your xbox. Also you the live logging four digit password.

Seriously can't stress how important it is to not keep any payment methods on your xbox, just add them on as and when you need them and remove them when your done it's not hard, sure it's a pain but better to be safe then sorry right, and tbf its not just hacking, if your xbox was stolen you'd be in the same predicament!

Seems all the thieves wanted was my fifa ultimate team and to sell credits. Seems some Chinese websites sell ultimate team cards for cash. Ea know now so "Fc Hamburg" are due to be banned.

Matty, have MS lifted the suspension of your account yet?? Reported mine well over 2 weeks ago and still no refund and cannot get on live.
For all the people saying that those hacked must have put their details on external sites - not a chance.
Had one card linked to my Live account, which ironically enough MS will not allow me to remove while they carry out this investigation.
Overall I am very disappointed with the support they have offered (or lack of it!)

No Jimbob still waiting for Microsoft. Called them yesterday and they won't lift hold on account till 30 days have passed. It's a wider spread problem than you might think. Also after a lot of digging and e-mails to EA I feel the information breech may have come from where they store xbox information. Also a dodgy looking Chinese site on internet selling accounts. Microsoft need to so more for victims rather than hold xbox accounts at a time when some great games are out. Thinking twice about renewing gold membership after 10 years on live.
