Today Capcom launched a Resident Evil alternate reality game (ARG) to lead up to the release of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

An Umbrella Corporation recruitment page has been created where aspiring bio-engineers can sign up to create a pharmaceutical cure for cancer, or you know, create a virus that turns people into flesh eating zombies. After viewing the site for around thirty seconds, or attempting to complete the form, you will witness the site being hacked by another group, Inserted Evil.

The Inserted Evil website was created by a rebellious young man asking the public to help him in uncovering the evil truth behind the Umbrella Corporation.  He explains how clues or assignments will be added from time to time and with your help, will unlock the truth behind Umbrella. He even speaks of chances to win real and digital prizes. The clues and tasks include information on new and old characters from the Resident Evil series.

As with most ARGs, this should prove to be a fun, effective, and maybe even rewarding advertisement campaign for Operation Raccoon City.
