Xbox Live maintenance on Monday

Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox Live service will be offline for maintenance on Monday 29th September. You may be disappointed to hear that “this service maintenance is in preparation for the new Xbox experience” and not the fall update everyone is eagerly awaiting.

As a result of the service being offline, Xbox Live and the ‘My Xbox’ section of the Xbox.com website will be unavailable and the Xbox forums will be in read only mode. The update will begin at about 8/9a.m. GMT and could last up to 24 hours.
