According to the latest issue of Nintendo Power magazine, Sonic is going to be on a Wii-exclusive game called Sonic and the Black Knight:

"The blue-blur swings cold steel in his big new Wii-exclusive adventure"

Yup, that's what it says folks, right on the front cover. Will this be another terrible Sonic game? I hope for Sonic's sake that it won't. What do you think readers? Will the game use the Wii-mote like No More Heroes or Red Steel? Will it be first person; third person? Let us know what you think. And also let us know if you think this Wii-exclusive Sonic game will actually do Sonic some good.

Update:

We here at the Monster have some updates for you about this game.

The game will be set in the world of Arthurian legend and will offer Sonic to become a knight.  Unlike the previous Wii Sonic game, this one will utilize both the Nunchuk and the Wii Remote.  Sonic and the Black Knight will be created by Sonic team in Japan and will take Sonic into a medieval world.

Gary Knight, European Marketing Director of SEGA Europe had this to say about the upcoming title:

“After the success of Sonic and the Secret Rings we’re delighted to announce a second title in the Storybook Series. Following Sonic on his way to knighthood will excite players of all ages.”

The game is slated to be released in Spring 2009.
