Play.com has the new Official Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit from Microsoft on their site available for pre-order. This bit of kit enables wireless pad users consistent backup of power (as long as you have one currently charged up that is). The Quick Charge Kit comes bundled with a single battery pack to get you started, though you will need one extra to be able to alternate charged and empty packs while you’re gaming.

Play.com are offering the Quick Charge Kit for ?99 delivered, compared to the RRP of ?99 and as you can see from the date on the site the availability of this kit will be from 5th June 2006.

So for those who made do with standard or rechargeable batteries and refused to remain wired with a Play and Charge Kit, then there is no better reason to grab one of these babies when they’re released next month.
