After a successfull Christmas period, publisher Ubisoft recently announced that they plan to create more game titles based around movie properties; this news comes after their King Kong game sweeped the Christmas charts and nearly took the number one spot, loosing out only to Need For Speed.

Ubisoft president Yves Guillemot recently told MCV, that the company plans to generate more revenue from movie licenses. “We want to get 25% of our turnover coming from movie licensed games. We have a few things on the way that can help us to continue to do business in this segment of the market”

Ubisoft have already got this wish under way by signing an agreement with 4Kids Entertainment to develop a game for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.

So is more movie based games a good thing, or do you want more original titles…?
