This Christmas’ Most Played Xbox Live title is…

Just like the Christmas Number One song was Alexandra Burke’s Hallelujah, the Christmas Most Played Xbox Live title has been announced and the winner is Halo 3. Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty 4 and Gears of War 2 take second, third and fourth respectively. Even Gears of War 2’s new map pack didn’t help its position.

The Halo 3 after party appeared to be gate-crashed.

Dash of Destruction, the free Xbox Live Arcade title released last week, manages sixth position which doesn’t come as too much of a surprise however I would be surprised if someone played it for longer than thirty minutes…

1 Halo 3
2 CoD: World at War
3 Call of Duty 4
4 Gears of War 2
5 GTA IV
6 Dash of Destruction
7 Left 4 Dead
8 Madden NFL 09
9 FIFA 09
10 Fable II

As for the Xbox Live Arcade leaderboard, it’s a fairly surprising outcome as Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix comes out on top, followed by the limited time only reduced Bomberman Live. Dash of Destruction didn’t make the list because it wasn’t available to purchase, it was available for free (thankfully).

1 Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
2 Bomberman Live
3 A Kingdom for Keflings
4 Castle Crashers
5 Worms
6 UNO
7 Banjo-Kazooie
8 Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
9 Portal: Still Alive
10 Braid
