The Getaway and Eight Days no more

Reports from Sony today may have some people throwing their arms in the air as protest. The Getaway and Eight Days are now out of production due to budgetary redistribution. Sony says:

“[T]his decision was made following an internal review of all games and it was deemed that with the incredibly strong list of exclusive first party titles coming up both this year and in the near future, resource should be reallocated to enhance those projects closer to completion.”

Some believe the cancellations are due to Phil Harrison’s successor, Shuhei Yoshida, taking over as President of Sony’s Worldwide Studios.

What do you guys think? Were you excited about these two games? Will Sony get a nasty email from you soon; or could you care less? Let us know what you think.
