Super Hero Squad: Brought to you by THQ

THQ and Marvel have announced that they have entered into a multi-year agreement to make based on the Hasbro toy line the Super Hero Squad. The titles that are going to be developed will end up on current-gen and next-gen consoles, as well as handhelds and Windows PC.

The Super Hero Squad, specifically those super heroes of Marvel comics, which was released in 2007 is a toy line based on super heroes that are exaggeratedly toony. The toys themselves are only about 2″ tall and come in packs of two. For example, Wolverine and Sabertooth may come in the same casing.

Due to the immense popularity of the LEGO gaming franchise, most notably LEGO Star Wars, it should be expected that a kid-friendly appeal to a super hero game could bring in a wide range of gamers. What do you all think? Will you buy a game that is targeted at kids but features your favorite Marvel super heroes?
