Sony Europe boss tells us to download illegally

The boss of Sony Europe, David Reeves has suggested that you could download PS3 films from Bittorent while waiting for the PlayStation Network video service to launch in the UK.

“We are a PAL market and we are going to do it in PAL and we are going to do it properly,” Reeves spoke to ButtonMasher.

“You can wait for it and you can have it in good quality. You know, you can get the stuff from BitTorrent if you want to and download PSP games, it’s up to you.”

In the UK with ISP’s now signing government treaties to stop illegal downloaders, has Mr Reeves just put his foot in it?

The PS3 video service will only be avaliable in America at least until the end of this year while other countries are looked at
