Shenmue III Breaks Another World Record

Last month the Shenmue III Kickstarter campaign fulfilled the $2 Million goal within hours of announcement, making it the fastest funded project in Kickstarter history, and today they’ve smashed another record. At the writing of this article the total funded amount stands at $5,982,130, officially making it the largest amount gathered for any video game in crowd-funding history.

The campaign still has about four hours to go, so if you’ve been waiting until the last second to take the plunge, that moment is quickly approaching.

As a few other staffers here at CM, I am a huge Shenmue fan and I am overjoyed with the turn out for this project. Now if only I could time travel to 2017…
