Ryo Hazuki, the voice actor behind Corey Marshall, is reprising his role for Shenmue 3.

Posting in a Kickstarter update, Ys Net said: “Corey Marshall, the actor who did the English voice acting for the main character Ryo in Shenmue 1 & 2, is now confirmed for Shenmue 3.

“We would all like to thank Corey-san for coming back, and especially for all the support he has given to Shenmue over the years.”

To coincide with the news, the developer has introduced a new incentive, with backers who contribute $1,000 or more towards the project receiving a personal message from Marshall in the style of Ryo’s voice.

Shenmue 3 is currently slated for a 2017 release on PlayStation 4.
