Published On July 17, 2007 | By Console Monster | News

Just one week after delivering Microsoft’s press conference, corporate Vice-President of the Interactive Entertainment Business (IEB) Peter Moore will be resigning from the company in August. A press release by Microsoft states that Moore has resigned due to “personal reasons,” and has relocated to another game company in the Bay Area.

Larry Hyrb, or “Major Nelson”, has announced that Moore is leaving the company to join EA “as President of their sports division.” Don Mattrick was formerly head of EA’s worldwide studios as early has February 2006, but joined Microsoft earlier this year. Mattrick will be taking over for Moore on July 30th.
