Midway Working on Two New Next-Gen Titles

Midway Working on Two New Next-Gen Titles

Published On January 15, 2007 | By Console Monster | News

The latest issue of US Mag Electronic Gaming Monthly has revealed the first details on two new shooting titles from Midway. First up is BlackSite: Area 51, the sequel to the 2005 Xbox, PS2 and PC title Area 51, which you may remember received a fairly lukewarm reaction from critics. Expect more of same this time round.

Next is a brand new IP called Hour of Victory. Taking a big leaf out of Call of Duty’s book, Hour of Victory will take players through WWII from a number of different perspectives. Whether it will anywhere near as good as Call of Duty is yet to be seen.

EGM also mentioned that Midway are planning a Midway Gamer’s Day sometime this month where we can expect the first screens and more details on both titles and, who knows, maybe we’ll even get confirmation that Unreal Tournament 2007 is coming to 360.
