Microsoft Gamers Day Roundup

It’s been a pretty extensive weekend for leaked announcements and screenshots of Microsoft Games, but all of what we know so far and have seen has being confirmed in the Microsoft event taking place today in San Francisco.

Following our announcement (we were one of the first to break it) of Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Microsoft have confirmed that the new title will allow Banjo to build and customize vehicles whilst retaining some of the familar platform elements from the N64 title. You can check out a trailer and screenshots of the Rare title.

Also announced and leaked to the press yesterday was the sequel to Viva Piñata which will be called Trouble In Paradise and is currently in development with a release pencilled in for September. More than 100 new piñata species will feature alongside familar faces and you’ll be able to capture, protect, train and create sexual connections between them. Co-op will feature and the Live Vision camera will support the game along with Xbox Live.

Appearing on stage later at the event, Cliff Bleszinski will be on hand to show off some new gameplay elements from Gears of War 2 which promises to be ‘dramatic’. We’ll bring you news as we get it.

Meanwhile Silicon Knights has announced that Too Human will finally make an appearence in the UK on 29th August with a release date of 19th August. We have the co-op trailer for you as well.

In Arcade news it has been announced that Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness Episode One (what a mouthful) will be released next Wednesday.

Also starring at the show is Fable 2 due Christmas and Ninja Gaiden 2. We’ll probably find out more about those in due course. The latter title will be out on June 6th in Europe. No announcement however on any ‘Lips’ or anything else surprising as of yet, but as ever we’ll keep you updated when we know.
