Micro-transactions in the future of 360 Avatars?

In an interview with Venturebeat, Microsoft’s corporate vice president, John Schappert has stated that the Xbox 360 Avatars could possibly involve micro-transactions. The Mii-like Avatars, arriving with the Autumn update, are an animated replacement for the Gamer Pictures announced at this year’s E3 as part of a new dashboard.

When asked: “Will you have micro transactions with the avatars?” Schappert replied: “That may be in the future. In the near term, we want to launch these with great customization and a great library of accessories this fall. I think there is a lot more we can do with them.”

Would you pay for any accessories/clothing for your Avatar? Leave a comment with your thoughts.
