Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain release date confirmed for 2015

The Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain release date will fall in 2015, series creator Hideo Kojima has confirmed.

The launch window for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC game was confirmed during a MGSV event at Tokyo Game Show, Gematsu reports.

Kojima also revealed a new AI buddy system, which lets players bring along Quiet and other characters to support Snake on missions. Support characters can be made to perform infiltrations themselves and provide covering fire.

A new 20 minute Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain gameplay demo shown during the presentation featured Snake and Quiet tackle a jungle mission.
