Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain tops UK Video Games Chart

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has topped the UK Video Games Chart to become the third biggest launch of the year so far.

Solid Snake’s latest outing has also smashed the record for the series’ week-one sales, beating Guns of the Patriots by nearly 37%.

In terms of platform sales, The Phantom Pain made 72% of sales on PlayStation 4, with 22% on the Xbox One.

This week’s other new entry, Mad Max, debuted at #2, with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition dropping into fifth.

Until Dawn and Disney Infinity 3.0 make up the rest of the top five.
