The two Japanese game companies, Koei famous for its Dynasty Warriors series and Tecmo for the Ninja Gaiden line of games, have had their plans to merge approved by shareholders.

The merger, first announced in November of last year, has been set to take place on April 1st in a deal reportedly worth $207M. It will see current shareholders in Koei receive a one-for-one stock replacement in the new company and those of Tecmo obtain 0.9 new shares for each old share they own.
