Man Arrested After Stalking Over XBOX Live

A North American man was arrested last week for stalking and threatening a girl he met on online service, XBOX Live. Joshua Stetar, a 20-year-old drove from New York for 40 hours straight to meet a 15-year-old girl in Spokane, Washington after a year of texting and talking to her.

On Friday 28th January 2007, Stetar sent a text message to the girl which said he was driving by her house at the moment and to “tell the cops that I’m gonna rape you and your sister.” The father of the victim called the police about the harassment, who later found out that the suspect was staying at a local Econo Lodge. Stetar was jailed into the Spokane County Jail on one felony count of stalking and was released on Saturday 29th January.
