Action film icon John Woo and legendary game creator Warren Spector are to collaborate to produce a game and a film under the title ‘Ninja Gold’, according to Yahoo!.

The film will be produced Fox Atomic, and arm of 20th century fox, whilst the game’s development will be lead by John Woo’s own devco, Tiger Hill, which is currently working on Stranglehold for Xbox 360 and PS3. Warren Spector (System Shock, Thief, Deus Ex) will be executive producer of the game. It is unclear whether his own studio Junction Point, who are known to be working on 2 unannounced projects, will be part of the project, although we consider it likely.

Ninja Gold centres on the concept of ancient Ninja warriors in the model world, and is based on real world plots by the Yakuza and Russian Mafia in gold smuggling from South America.

The platform(s) the game will be produced for have not yet been announced.
