It’s official, Banjo-Kazooie is coming to 360
As you have probably already seen in screen shots or read on blogs, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts will be coming to the Xbox 360 later this year. Rare will be reviving the beloved franchise after more than 7 years since the last game, Banjo-Tooie, was released for the Nintendo 64.
Banjo and Kazooie can now be viewed in HD and will be fighting Gruntilda. As the story goes, the Lord of Games (LOG) is tired of the petty fighting that is going on between Gruntilda and Banjo. He has arranged a showdown that will determine once and for all who the owner of Spiral Mountain will be. LOG, the self-proclaimed creator of every video game, has created worlds for the contests in which Banjo must partake. The flip side of this whole thing is that Gruntilda will do everything in her power to stop Banjo from succeeding.
As the game progresses players will be able to build vehicles for Banjo to use throughout the contest. These vehicles can range from being used on land, chugging through the water, or flying in the air. The players’ ability to create the vehicle is only limited by their imagination, according to Rare. As the game goes on the player will get more and more parts to create their vehicle. This will be essential in completing LOG’s contest and help to permanently defeat Gruntilda.
Online gameplay is planned. Online capabilities coupled with the ability for user-created content with the vehicle creation system and the new HD look of the game is sure to bring some old Banjo-Kazooie fans out of hiding. What do you guys think? Are you excited for the game? Will it work? Can Banjo-Kazooie be revived?
