Grand Theft Auto IV: Pre-Order Problems

Published On April 9, 2008 | By David Wriglesworth | News

It seems gamers who have yet to pre-order Grand Theft Auto IV and want to get their hands on a copy on release may have to keep their fingers crossed or spend more money in order to do so. A number of online retailers have stopped taking pre-orders for the standard edition due to “unprecedented demand”.

Here are a few warnings put in place by online retailers:

GAME: Please Note: We cannot guarantee delivery on the day of release for orders placed on or after the 7th of April. You can still preorder the superb Special Edition for release day!

Gameplay: We are unable to accept any further preorders for this title for release day. You can still place a preorder with us and we will fulfil your order as soon as we receive further stock. This does not affect any existing orders.

HMV: Due to unprecedented demand for the standard edition of Grand Theft Auto IV we are currently sold out of this item. All orders placed on or after 8th of April will be dispatched on a first come first served basis. We still have GTA IV Special Edition available pre-order.

ShopTo: We have temporarily stopped taking pre orders due to high demand. If you have Pre-Ordered we will dispatch your copy as soon as we receive the product.

Have you pre-ordered your copy already or are you one of those frantically looking around for a copy? Leave a comment with your thoughts.
