Grand Adventures coming our way in 2009

Details for an upcoming Wallace and Gromit video game have been revealed. The full title of the game, releasing next year, is Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures. The game is expected to feature “completely new, interactive adventures – with imaginative storylines and the exceptional craftsmanship that fans of the Wallace & Gromit films have come to expect.

After having a quick scout around the website, I discovered the game looks set to be episodic. “Each game will have an original storyline developed by Telltale’s writers in collaboration with Aardman, and as in the original animated films, much of the comedy will be physical and will evolve out of the strange scenarios the characters end up in. You’ll get to play as both Wallace and Gromit in activities that include tinkering with crazy contraptions, embarking upon Wallace’s wild entrepreneurial schemes, and finding your way out of the sticky situations that inevitably ensue.

Telltale Games (developer of Sam & Max) have stated that they will go into “more specifics about the episodic schedule, including how many episodes there will be and how often they’ll come out, when Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures gets closer to release.

Accompanying the details comes some new screenshots and renders which were posted on the game’s official website. These can be found in this news post and in our Monster Media Gallery.

A teaser trailer for Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures can be found here. It is not yet known which platforms the title will be releasing on. Stay tuned to Console Monster for more details.
