Game.net, the UK’s leading games retailer, have put up a notice on their website saying that they are no longer able to take pre-orders for the Xbox 360 Premium OR core package.

The following information is available from their site:

Xbox 360 Premium Package

Stock Online:  No
Stock instore: No

Online: Stock will be very limited and only a proportion of online preorders will receive their console at launch. We can no longer accept new preorders. We will do our best to secure more stock and these will be offered to preorder customers first.

Instore: We hope to be able to fulfil all preorders before Christmas. We can no longer accept new preorders. We expect no free stock at launch. There may be small deliveries of stock across December.

Xbox 360 Core Package

Stock online:  NO

Stock instore:  NO

Online: We currently expect to be able to fulfil all preorders at launch. We can no longer accept new preorders. We expect small amounts of free stock at launch. We expect small deliveries of stock across December.

So there you have it.  If you purchased the Xbox 360 Core package from game.net, you’re laughing (like me! -ed).  If you got the premium, you might not be seeing it for some time.

Still hesitating?  You better make your mind up quick, the Core system is running low everywhere!
