Fable II and Gears of War 2 limited edition disc details

Details of what you can expect from the collector’s edition bonus discs of two of this year’s biggest releases have been revealed on BBFC. First up is the Fable II Limited Edition Bonus Disc and it seems slightly disappointing. The disc contains a 30 minute showing of the making of the game and a 2 minute clip titled ‘Travelling Hobbes’, as well as an art gallery. As well as the bonus disc, the Limited Edition also contains a Hobbe figure, an Xbox Live trial card and additional in-game content. Personally, the only reason I’d purchase this limited edition is for the “cute” little Hobbe figure and possibly the currently unconfirmed additional in-game content so this may be one limited edition to miss. If you’re still interested, you can pre-order the Limited Edition from here to ensure you receive the game on release.

The second collector’s edition bonus disc is Gears of War 2 and a quick glance at the list shows there won’t be many disappointed players when they open up the box. The disc contains footage of behind the scenes, the ‘E3 2008: Gears 2 Demo’, a look at two of the characters, creatures, locations, vehicles and weapons. The feature that stands out most to me is the COQ SQUAD PACK (5 IMAGES) and LOCUST SQUAD PACK (5 IMAGES) which are no doubt exclusive gamer pictures. This is what a limited edition is all about. If, like me, you’re still interested, you can pre-order the Limited Edition from Play.com to ensure you receive the game on release.

Will you be picking up either of these two limited editions? Leave a comment with your thoughts.
