F.E.A.R. Sequel Named

Published On September 7, 2007 | By Console Monster | News

You may remember a while back, Monolith and Warner Bros. announced a competition to name the sequel to Xbox 360 and PS3 title F.E.A.R. Now you may think that F.E.A.R. 2 would be an obvious choice…and it is to Vivendi Games who kept to rights to the title when Vivendi and Monolith went their separate ways.

So, this brought about the contest to name the game’s true sequel. The three finalists were Dead Echo, Dark Signal and the eventual winner Project Origin. Project Origin will continue off from where F.E.A.R. ended (that would be the vanilla game without the two PC expansion packs and the forthcoming 360 title F.E.A.R. Files, which includes the two expansion packs).

Project Origin currently has no release date but expect it some time in 2008 on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
