Battlefield 1942’s famous game mode, Conquest, will arrive as a download for Battlefield: Bad Company on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network this Thursday, as promised by DICE. Conquest was removed from the original line-up to make way for Gold Rush.

Conquest mode pits players against each other in a fast paced battle to eliminate the opposing team’s tickets. Players deplete their opponent’s tickets by one point per kill and can cause their opponent’s tickets to spiral downwards by capturing control points. Four maps that are currently available for online play in Gold Rush mode will be available to conquer with Conquest mode.

Best of all, the “new” game mode is free to download. Will the new game mode get you firing up Battlefield: Bad Company once more? Leave a comment with your thoughts.
