Chance for some hands on Top Spin 3

With the Wimbledon tennis championship just around the corner, every budding Sampras and Murray gets their whites out of the wardrobe and heads to the courts with their racket, or in this case, their Wimote in hand.

For armchair sports fans it’s time to get down to Birmingham’s city centre at Martineau Place. Every lunchtime from Monday 23 June to Friday 27 you’ll be able to test your gaming prowess in a Wii-mbledon tennis extravaganza.

From 12pm –3pm each day there will be the opportunity to play Top Spin 3 in a Nintendo Wii game pod. Anyone who fancies their chances will be able to challenge Omega Sektor’s team of professional gamers. The first five people able to rub the noses of some, allegedly, expert players each day will win a copy of Sega Superstars Tennis for the Xbox 360. Quite why they won’t win Top Spin 3 is a bit of a mystery.

Don’t forget to stock up on the Champagne, strawberries and cream before you go.

About The Author

Marty has been gaming since the heady years of the ZX-81 and still owns most of the gaming systems purchased since those days, including the Atari 2600, ZX Spectrum, SNES, Jaguar, Dreamcast and GameCube. Being a collection junkie (or more accurately, hoarder), he buys more games than he can possibly play, far too many of which are still sealed in their packaging. Marty favours RPGs and Driving games when it comes to genres, and is possibly a little bit too addicted to Disgaea. When not gaming he’s out frightening OAPs on his motorcycle, clad in black leather.
