Castle Crashers content coming soon

The King is a playable character in the new downloadable content for Castle Crashers.

Behemoth has confirmed, via their blog, that new content for Castle Crashers will be available in the not-too-distant future. The announcement settles rumours which came about as someone with a developer kit taking footage of the game’s pre-release, posted a video containing a chainsaw weapon, as well as the King and Necromancer as playable characters – neither of which were in the game. Behemoth explained details of the downloadable content leak in their latest blog post:

Prior to releasing any XBLA game to the public, the game must be tested on Microsoft’s internal network. During this time anyone who has a development kit, and test kits can download a game that is still in development. Other developers can see and download the game, test houses can run their tests, and media outlets who have these test kits can also view these unreleased games if they happen to come across them while they are propped. This also includes any form of DLC (Downloadable Content) which is the stuff that comes out after the release of a game.

Stay tuned to Console Monster for more details on the downloadable content.
