Boom Blox “on other platforms in time”

It’s funny how in May I was writing a review for Boom Blox in which I wrote: “Boom Blox is a one-of-a-kind game which wouldn’t have the same effect on any other console.” Four months on and the possibility of the game arriving on another console looks positive after EA President, John Riccitiello, let slip that Boom Blox could be arriving on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. In an interview with MTV, John was asked if the game had a shot at appearing on any consoles other than the Wii. His response was:

We haven’t made announcements on that front. Frankly, its original design was all about the control of the [Wii] wand. But there are other ways to implement that. It is a hugely innovative product. I expect you’ll see it on other platforms in time.

Boom Blox recently celebrated a ‘surprise success’ selling over 450,000 units worldwide. How do you think Boom Blox would work on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3? Leave a comment with your thoughts.
