Arcade: Jetpac Refuelled

What was previously amongst our rumour pile has now been plucked and had the official confirmed seal rubber stamp across it. Spanish website, MeriStation has managed to grab some snaps of Rare’s venture into the Xbox Live arena, with one of their 1980’s classics – Jetpac. Jetpac is a basic shooter that will no doubt be very at home on the Xbox Live Arcade.

In each level your character is armed with a laser gun and the task of rebuilding your space craft, fill it with fuel and take off to the next challenging mission, sounds easy, but throw in a multitude of enemies doing their very best to get in your way and you have Jetpac, a surprisingly addictive game.

Rare hasn’t just done a simple port either Paperboy, both original and super snazzy versions will be available to you, and from looking at the screens, they have chosen a good style that adapts very well to the simple style and gameplay of the original Jetpac.

For those that remember Jetpac on the ZX Spectrum, will you be buying Jetpac Refuelled once it hits the Xbox Live Arcade?
