360Monster Downtime Explained

Ok, unless you are brand new to 360Monster today, you will have undoubtedly noticed that we’ve been having a few problems and have been forced to close the site for a few hours at a time. Well firstly, rest assured, we aren’t being hacked! [Phew! -Ed].

In fact, we look at these downtimes as a good thing. No, we haven’t gone mad, nor do we wish for the site to die like it has done, however the reason we are going down is because we are getting so much traffic!

Since it’s launch in Aug 05 (that long ago?!) 360Monster has gone from strength to strength. We are now getting so much traffic that our web host is struggling to keep us afloat! We are in the process of fixing this problem by moving to a really decent and dedicated server, meaning no more downtime, no more slow servers and nothing but great 360Monster Xbox 360 coverage!

Until then, if we do go down again, or you see database errors on the forum or the site itself, please just close your browser and check back in a few hours – hopefully by then the server will have cooled down. We’ll keep you informed on the server move.
