Datel, the makers of the famous Game Enhancing Software (i.e. cheat) have long been playing around with other bits and bobs for consoles. They produced a handy little HDD (Hard Disk Drive) add-on for the PSP and now they have turned their attention to the humble 360.

The HDD that comes with the Premium 360 is portable as well but as I am finding out it is a little too small once you have downloaded videos, got your music and playing Final Fantasy XI on it. Datel have produced a 4Gb HDD which connects via the 360’s front or rear USB 2.0 connectors. While 4Gb does not sound a huge amount, I am sure Datel are working hard to produce higher capacity drives. Hopefully we can see 8Gb and beyond in the not too distant future.

Currently the drive is placed at $133 (£74.99) which places it very close to the Microsoft 360 HDD, not that many people can get hold of them at the moment. The Datel drive could be a handy alternative to running out of space and is also a lot more pocket friendly than the 360 HDD is.

We will keep you updated with any news on this and other 360 products that will enhance your gaming lives.
