Warner Home Videos has today revealed that their latest blockbuster movie ‘300’ will be released on both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray come July.
Both the BD-50 Blu-ray and HD DVD/DVD combo versions will feature identical 1080p/VC-1 transfers and, in a welcome move from Warner, matching Dolby TrueHD (48kHz/16-bit) 5.1 surround tracks.
Along with the full length movie will come over an hour and half of bonus features including cast interviews, Director commentary and deleted scenes.
The HD-DVD has managed to score an excluive though, in the form of a picture-in-picture video commentary, plus the exclusive “Vengeance & Valor” interactive game. Sadly Blu-Ray users will have to do without those two features.
The film has a release date of July 31st and when that date hits you will be able to immerse yourself in blood, gore and the final 300 Spartans who stood at the Battle of Thermopylae, against outrageous odds and so nearly stopped the behemoth army of Xerxes.
